My Path
My path to becoming an Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner has been shaped by personal exploration, academic and experiential study, and a commitment to my own healing and ongoing growth.
I´m Irish-born and originally come from a background in third-level language education, with initial studies in psychoanalysis and anthropology. My curiosity about human experience and different ways of understanding culture and the mind led me to travel and explore the world. I settled in Colombia for nine years and then moved back to Europe, where I'm now based, in Spain.
Throughout this time, I have also engaged in my own therapeutic journey, which has spanned over a decade. I explored different modalities, each offering its own insights, but it wasn’t until I discovered Internal Family Systems (IFS) that I truly felt at home. IFS gave me a way to integrate and deepen the healing work I had already been doing within myself.
Over time, my personal and professional journey led me to become an IFS practitioner. I am also committed to ongoing professional development, particularly in exploring the ways IFS intersects with other modalities such as focusing, non-violent communication, somatic therapy, and trauma-informed approaches. I continuously seek new ways to deepen my understanding and refine my practice, so that I may integrate insights from multiple disciplines to best support each client’s unique healing process.
I believe that inner work is not about “fixing” anything—it’s about reconnecting with the wisdom, resilience, and healing capacity that already exist within you. My role is to offer a compassionate, grounded space where you can safely explore your inner world, and develop a deeper relationship with yourself.
